Yesterday my friend and me were making Laotian (Thai) comfort food: sticky rice with lab moo ลาบหมู (spicy pork salad) and tam carrot ส้มตำ (spicy carrot salad). Yummy yummy!
Tam (or Som Tam) is originally made with green papaya but tastes great with carrot or cucumber, too.
Lab can be make with beef or pork steak, minced meat, chicken or duck.
