It’s been a while since I had a Schnitzel.


It is easy to cook. For the original Wiener Schnitzel you use veal. It has to be hammered (e.g. with a pan or meat tenderizer), slightly salted, dipped in flour, then beaten eggs and bread crumbs.

Some cooks say original Wiener Schnitzel has to be fried in clarified butter, some say in lard. Either way, when the Schnitzel is golden brown, it’s ready to be served with fries or potato salad and ready to be eaten. Yumm. (^○^)
