There are so many different kinds of punches (drinks). One of the most famous one might be Spanish Sangria. Its name stems from the dark red color of the drink and means “blood-letting”.
The best Sangria I drank so far, was at a beach cafe in Fuerteventura (picture on the left). Maybe it was because of the location or the great scenary.
But then again, at our hotel the punch didn’t taste as good although the view was awesome, too.
There are various recipe for mixing Sangria. Some add lemonade into it, some honey or vary in the chopped fruits in the Sangria.
Here is an easy mixture I found, which I prefer:
300ml dry red wine (doesn’t have to be the most expensive one)
50ml orange liquor, e.g. Cointreau
juice of 3 oranges
1-2 tbsp sugar
1-2 cinnamon sticks
chopped fruits, e.g. orange, lemon, peach
