On our first day in Singapore, our nice landlord recommended us the restaurant The Banana Leaf Apolo nearby in Little India. The restaurant was almost full, mostly with Indian people (good indicator for authentic food). Food was eaten on banana leafs as plates, hence, the name of the restaurant.
We ordered बिरयानी biryani (curry rice dish) with chicken and a hard-boiled egg, an vegetarian curry dish with eggplant and a lamb-dish in yoghurt sauce, पापड papadam and नान naan.
My dad tried Indian food for the first time and he loved it. ❤
