Last time my sister was in town, we visited my granny and my cousin. Of course, he wanted to bake again. This time, he made waffles with his new animal shape waffle-maker. He did a very good job.
The recipe we used was very simple and doesn’t need too many ingredients. My cousin could follow the recipe well – except for whisking the egg whites. That was my job.
Here is the recipe:
250 ml milk
40 g sugar
1 pinch of salt
180 g all-purpose-flour
1 tsp baking powder
optional: vanilla extract or lemon zest
Seperate eggs and whisk the egg white stiff. Mix milk, egg yolk, sugar, salt together together well. Sift flour and baking powder and add to the mixture bit by bit. Lastly, fold in egg white and bake!
