I tried out a recipe for a vegan (vanilla) ice cream. My friend is allergic to cow milk (not lactose) and was still craving for dreamy-creamy vanilla ice cream. Somehow, the soy/rice milk alternatives she found weren’t tasty.
Although the recipe is using an ice cream maker, I still tried it out and churned it by hand every 15 minutes or so.
The ice cream tasted good but there was no vanilla flavor and the ice cream wasn’t as creamy as I hoped. Maybe I should buy an ice cream machine next time.
