candy

I have really nice colleagues. I admit that I like some colleagues more than the other ones and some are really annoying. But I guess that’s normal. 😉

One time I was joking around with one of my colleagues and said something like “you never bring cake for me only for yourself”. The next time he was at our office again he gave me a small bag of candies. 🙂

souvenirs part 4

After being lucky to try the Caribbean souvenirs by sister brought back from her trip, I got more souvenirs. This time it is some kind of colorful cookie from Thailand.

I forgot how they are called, they looked so cute like little flowers but they tasted a little bit bland..actually, they were just sweet.

Another “sweet” souvenir was chocolate from Switzerland. They were really good, even the white chocolate bar (I usually don’t like white chocolate)!

Thank you my friends! 🙂

cotton candy

Somewhen last year the company I work for, received a cotton candy maker as some kind of promotion gift. So I made some cotton candy at our last team meeting of the year. 🙂

Just add a tablespoon of granulated sugar into the centrifuge of the cotton candy maker and wait until sugar threads are forming. It might take a bit practise to form those fluffy cotton clouds.

Unfortunately, they “collapse” after a few minutes (see picture, on the right).

I tried to vary the sugar flavour and used sugar mixed with scraped out vanilla seeds and mixed with cinnamon. The smell was superb. But the vanilla seeds and the grounded cinnamon got burned, so the candy cotton didn’t taste so well.

Next time, I want to try mix sugar with liquid flavors or food coloring.
